Bayless and Mohwish Win TBF Dream Team Rally on Ohio River

Ponca City, Okla. (August 23, 2012) — The Bass Federation’s brand new Dream Team tournament trail is excited to announce Robert Bayless and Tony Mohwish won the West Virginia Bass Federation Dream Team Rally event recently held on the Ohio River in Wheeling, W.Va.  Bayless and Mohwish caught a six fish limit of bass weighing 10.98lbs.  The first place team walked away with a $2,000 prize package, including cash, paid entry fees and a travel stipend to go with their invitation to the 2013 TBF Dream Team National Championship Rally.  

The West Virginia Dream Team event awarded the top three teams invitations to the national championship rally.  The second place team was Bryan and Julie Sayre with 10.07 lbs. The third place team receiving the final invitation was Gary Sapp and Robert Harkness with 9.36lbs.  In total, the event paid out cash prizes to 1st – 6th place and two big bass awards.  Dream Team event payouts and advancements are based on number of boats, with a 10 boat minimum. ALL interested TBF clubs and TBF affiliated federations can go online to register.  There’s no limit on how many you can host or fish for a chance to advance to a national dream “vacation” event.  The national event will be held on a famous fishery with a national prize pool, including a Ranger Boat dream rig and payouts deep to the field.

FINAL STANDINGS

TBF Dream Team Rallies are designed to fill a void not only in the federation but also the fishing industry.  Fish no-hassle events close to home; fish with who you want, when you want, where you want. Challenge a neighboring TBF affiliated club, bring five boats or more and host your own TBF Dream Team qualifying event!  All Dream Team Rally event payouts and advancements are based on number of boats.  Roughly 20% of entries will be paid onsite, plus two big fish awards.  Every first place team of a sanctioned event (based on # of boats possibly 1st-5th) is invited to attend the TBF Dream Team National Championship. Every first place team (based on # of boats possibly 1st-3rd) will receive a “qualifying team” travel award stipend upon arrival at the championship to help offset the cost of mileage, lodging and boat gas.  The national champion team will walk away with a Ranger Boat Dream Rig!  Register to host an event anytime, anywhere in the US or Canada, sign up to compete or do both!  There’s no limit on how many you can host or fish; so get started now!
