On November 14th, Virginia Bass Federation Region 8 held a benefit tournament for Region 8 and TBF member Phil Brewer out of Chickahominy Riverfront Park. Phil was involved in a terrible boat accident on the James River October 17th of this year.

September 24, 2010 – A late take-off this morning due to weather and safety issues sent some out with a rocky start. Others were consistent with their five bass sacks and prevailed. 14 anglers advance today to the 2011 Federation National Championship to compete for their share of nearly a quarter of a million in cash and prizes.
Clingenpeel Seizes Lead; West Virginia Looking for 3-Peat Sweep
Jay Clingenpeel from Bridgeport, W.V., captured the lead today in the individual standings with the tournaments biggest stringer. He had a limit that weighed 18lb 8ounces making his two-day total 27lb 4ounces.
14 TBF Anglers Advance This Week to National Contest
Many TBF anglers found solid keepers, while others came up short today in the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Shifting tides and windy bouts threw the bite off, as day one of the 2010 TBF Mid-Atlantic Championship is underway in Perryville, Maryland on Susquehanna Flats.
