Lowrance awards over $30,000 to TBF State Federations through Lowrance Excellence in Marketing Awards Program

Ponca City, Okla. – July 5, 2012 The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with Lowrance announced today the results of the Lowrance Excellence in Marketing Awards for the 2011-2012 program.  Each year the Lowrance/TBF sponsor partnership program awards cash and product certificates to TBF state federation promoting Lowrance electronics. Under the 2011-2012 program guidelines TBF will pay out over $30,000 in such awards directly to TBF affiliated state federations on Lowrance’s behalf.

The Lowrance Excellence in Marketing Awards Program involves cash awards and product certificates. The cash awards consist of one national award of $5,000 cash and seven division awards of $1,500 cash. Every TBF affiliated state federation participating in the program can qualify for either a $1,000 Exclusive or $500 Non-Exclusive State Certificate award for promoting Lowrance electronics as their state sponsor and following minimum program guidelines.

The national winner for the second consecutive year is the New Jersey Bass Federation.  New Jersey is awarded a $5,000 cash award, in addition to a $1,000 Exclusive State Certificate.  “Our New Jersey Bass Federation is proud to have won Lowrance’s National Award for the second straight year in a row; we also won the very first award Lowrance gave away many years ago,”  New Jersey Bass Federation President, Tony Going, said.  “This $5,000 win will be put to good use towards our youth and conservation projects and it will also help us host the upcoming Mid-Atlantic Divisional in 2013.

NJBF is very proud to be sponsored by Lowrance, and they can be sure they’ll be represented well at our Fish & Game Expos, all of our tournaments and youth events, as well as, four major Consumer Shows this year,” Going continued.  “Lowrance produces the premier GPS and Fish Locator products on the market and as a company they are a GREAT ASSET to the NJBF!”

Every TBF affiliated state federation is eligible to participate in the Lowrance program and nearly 85% of all TBF state federations did in 2011.  TBF and Lowrance strive to better the program each year, and one of the more recent benefits involves it’s restructure.  All aspects of the program including TBF state federation needs, state team member benefits, banners, and product support are handled through one contact in the TBF National Office.  All orders, questions, order follow-ups and contract/book submissions go through TBF’s office so the states and all TBF anglers can call TBF directly. The benefits for TBF state federations and state team members with our sponsor partners at Lowrance continue to grow; the amount of promotional product and support from Lowrance to TBF state federations each year makes this evident.

The division winners from each of the TBF divisions who won $1,500 cash award for their marketing prowess in addition to their state certificates are as follows; Northern Division, Wisconsin; Eastern Division, Massachusetts; Mid-Atlantic Division, Delaware; Central Division, Oklahoma; Southern Division, Tennessee; Southwest Division, Arizona.

This is the first time for the Wisconsin Bass Federation to win the Northern Division award. The Wisconsin Bass Federation President, Mike Simonds, had nothing but praise to give Lowrance and his state federation.  “I’d like to thank Lowrance for the opportunities they present us with sponsorship and the chance to show them what we do throughout the year; it is greatly appreciated,” Simonds stated.  “This is our first time to win the northern division, and our state federation is very proud of the efforts made by our membership.  We just want to thank Lowrance and The Bass Federation for making all this possible.”
