On the final day an ounce separated the top two anglers at the Mid Atlantic Division Championship. Daniel Gray – DC beat out Corey Cook – WV, by the slightest of margins. Daniel won the Overall Event with 11 fish weighing 42-08 lbs and Corey Cook finished with 12 fish weighing 42-07 lbs.
The next 2 places were almost as close, John Carpenter of NJ had 39-06 lbs for third and fourth went to Brian LaClair –DE with 39-04lbs. It was a great final day weigh-in.
Eighteen total limits were brought in today with Steve Dinkler – WV having the largest bag of the day with 4 fish weighing 15-02 lbs.
Mike Morris – DE took Big Bass honors with a nice 4-13 lb smallmouth.
West Virginia ran away with the state team competition by piling up 321-12 lbs over 3 days on their 12 man team. In second, was the team from New Jersey with 279-13 lbs. The host state PA finished 3rd with 268-05 lbs.
Each of the seven states qualified their top two anglers to advance to the 2016 TBF National Championship.
