Plan, Plan Prepare, then mother nature reminds us all who is in charge.
Day 1 of the TBF Federation National Championship has been shortened due to weather forecast and weigh in will begin at 1:00pm CT.
The 2025 TBF Federation National Championship kicked off today abet a shorten one. The weigh in has been moved up to 1pmCT today to avoid forecasts late afternoon storms by the national weather service.
“116 anglers from every US state and Canada took a full year to qualify for this $400,000 event pinnacle event, for many it will be their only shot and I hate it that there is major storms forecasted for this week and there is nothing we can do about that.” Stated TBF Federation President and Tournament Director for this event Robert Cartlidge. “We want them to fish and compete in their dream event, but the safety of all anglers is paramount to catching a fish. Therefore, based upon the best forecast available to us we are bringing them in early today and weigh in will begin at 1:00pm instead of 3pm CT because forecasts show possible stronger storms later in the day.”
You can still tune into bassfederation.com for the live action at 1:00pm CT today and hopefully the next two days of the Championship the anglers will get a full day of competition time will tell.
