The lineup of premier bass destinations includes:
May 10-11 Sturgeon Bay, WI*
June 1-2 Lake Pokegama, MN*
July 20-21 Mississippi River, LaCrosse, WI*
Sept. 7-8 Leech Lake, MN*
Oct. 11-12 Cabela’s NABC World Bass Championship, Hayward, WI
(*Single-day tournament with built-in bad weather day.)
The Cabela’s NABC is open to all two-person teams regardless of club or sponsor affiliation. Teams will be required to fish a minimum of two qualifying tournaments to earn points toward coveted berths in the World Bass Championship, and three for the Team of the Year race. Details on locations, rules and more will be announced shortly.
Tournament payouts are based on the number of teams fishing each event. In 2012, the NABC paid $10,000 cash for first place at three qualifiers—plus contingencies from Cabela’s Angler Cash, Stratos 2X ‘Double Your Winnings,’ Ranger Cup, Rapala, Trigger X and Sufix, Bomber, Booyah, XCalibur and YUM, Optima Batteries True Blue program, O2 Technologies U2 and Oxygenator bonuses, and the Circuit’s Big-Bass Pot. The Championship purse includes a guaranteed $20,000 cash paycheck for first place.
