Arkansas angler, Bill Hughan leads the 96 angler field, at the Central Divisional at Truman Lake, after the first day of competition. His day one sack of 14-09 pounds gives him just over a one pound cushion, going into Thursday’s competition. The fish did not cooperate very well on day one and the weight’s were a little on the small side overall.
Second place is Kent Priel from Nebraska with 13-04 pounds. Chad Dick from Kansas and Pat Klausen from Nebraska are tied for third place with 13-02 pounds. Pat Huse, also of Nebraska finishes out the top five with a limit weighing 12-09 pounds.
Out of 96 anglers, 81 weighed in at least one fish on Day 1. There were a total of 15 limits brought to the scales and Robert Hill had the Big Bass on Wednesday with a 4-13 pound lunker.
