Managed by the Bergen Bassmasters (NJ TBF), the 3rd Annual Open Bass Tournament to benefit the troops, the Lake George Challenge, will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2011. The launch site will be at Mossy Point on Lake George, Ticonderoga NY.
A portion of each entry fee will go to the troops c/o the USO of Metropolitan New York and to Wounded Warrior Project. In addition, there will be a meeting, dinner (free to tournament participants, $15 for guests) and an auction at the Ticonderoga Best Western, Saturday night (7:30PM), September 17, 2011. The auction will be open to the public and 100% of the auction revenue goes to the troops c/o the USO of MNY and WWP. Auction items include NY Giant Tickets, Thayer Hotel at West Point weekend, late season NY Yankee Tickets, quality fishing equipment, Optima Batteries, guided fishing trips, etc.
Many local and national businesses like FISH307.com, Orvis, Walmart, Daiwa, G•Loomis, Ranger Boats, Best Western Plus of Ticonderoga, Cabela’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, etc. are supporting the event. The Town of Ticonderoga, the National Guard. The Bass Federation (National) and the FLW pro bass fishing organization are also supporting the tournament. The Sunday tournament will be filmed as a LUNKERVILLE (WFN) TV episode c/o producer Mike deAvila. Mike will be fishing with NY bass pro, Joe Sancho.
