6/13/12 –State teams from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas have come to the great hot and humid state of Louisiana to compete on the legendary Red River.  After a great welcome banquet, held at the Boosier City Civic Center, all the anglers, their families, staff and volunteers were fed with an awesome catfish dinner. The 96 competitors were ready to start their week in hopes of advancing to the 2013 TBF National Championship to be held next Spring. Chin & Garrision crowned as TBF Oregon Youth State Champions

A first time competitor Wyatt Garrison and 2 time Oregon youth champion Nicholas Chin win the Oregon TBF Youth State Champions on the Willamette River on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from Portland Oregon. Garrison won the 11-14 age group, with a 2 fish catch of 3.31 pounds and Chin won the 15-18 age group with a 5 fish limit of 12.39 pounds. Rogue Lightning Strike Claims a Life of TBF Florida Member

Ponca City, Okla., – Monday, June 11, 2012

TBF mourns the loss of division championship angler, Lorenzo Magdaleno, 51, from Lake Placid, Fl. He was a veteran angler and a member of the Florida Bass Federation and the Homestead Hawg Hunters club for more than a decade. Magdaleno was pronounced dead by Florida officials on Friday, June 8, after a bolt of lightning apparently struck Magdaleno and his boat partner, Mike Hardin, from Tennessee while they fishing shortly after noon prior to the final day weigh-in of the TBF Southern Division Championship on Florida’s Lake Okeechobee.  Continue reading

Kentucky’s Brian Hickey & Florida State Team Win 2012 Southern Division on Okeechobee

6/9/12 – Fourteen anglers advanced today from the 2012 Southern Division Championship, presented by Ranger Boats held on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. The event was hosted by Okeechobee Tourist Development Council and the Florida Bass Federation. The top angler in state team standings advances as a boater and the 2nd place angler of each state advances as a co-angler to the 2013 TBF National Championship next spring. There they’ll fish for the “Living the Dream” prize package to include paid entry fees as an FLW Pro for a year with use of a wrapped Ranger boat and Chevrolet truck, as well as, thousands in cash and prizes.
