TN Bass Federation Helps Local Girl Scout With Conservation Project

The Tennessee Bass Federation started a habitat project today on Ft. Loudoun. This event is being coordinated through the Girl Scouts so that Scout Laura Hullen may work her way toward a Gold Award. She started working post holidays at one of the Home Depots collecting Christmas trees for us to recycle in this project. Today she was on site dragging trees, tying ropes and working hard to make this habitat effort a reality. Continue reading

University of Tennessee Chattanooga to host Tennessee High School Fishing State Championship April 9

College Scholarships to UT Chattanooga and Much More on the Line

Ponca City, Okla. (Feb. 25, 2011) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, announced the inaugural Student Angler Federation Tennessee High School Fishing State Championship presented by the University of Tennessee/Chattanooga, April 9 on Lake Chickamauga just outside of Dayton, Tenn. The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9 -12. Registration for high school anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org or by calling 580.765.9031. Check-in begins at 6pm on Fri., April 8 at the Family Church Gymnasium, with a mandatory rules briefing to follow. The Bass Federation Announces Sponsor Partnership with Cabela’s

Ponca City, Oklahoma – The Bass Federation Inc. (TBF), the nation’s oldest and largest organized grass-roots fishing, youth and conservation organization, announced today a new TBF sponsor partnership with Cabela’s, the World’s Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoors gear since 1961.

The new Cabela’s sponsorship will touch all aspects of the TBF’s adult, youth and conservation programs companywide, not only with national events, but also in every TBF affiliated state federation in the United States and Canada. Continue reading

Idaho High School Fishing State Championship Set For May 1

(Feb. 22, 2011) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, announced it will be hosting the inaugural Student Angler Federation Idaho High School Fishing State Championship, May 1 at CJ Strike Reservoir, just outside of Mountain Home, Idaho. The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9 -12. Registration for high school anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is open online at HighSchoolFishing.org or by calling 580.765.9031. Check-in begins at 4pm on Saturday, April 30 at the Hampton Inn in Mountain Home, Idaho. A mandatory rules briefing will follow at 6pm.
