Racine, WI (July 8, 2016):  Minn Kota® introduces the trolling motor anglers have only dreamed of – a hybrid that merges the body of a Fortrex® with the brains of i-Pilot®, complete with Spot-Lock electronic GPS anchoring and more.

 

 

 

 

 

New for 2017, Minn Kota’s Ultrex™ gives anglers the control and responsiveness of a Fortrex, plus effortless Power Steering and i-Pilot® features, like Spot-Lock.  Paired with Steering Lock, which allows you to take your foot off the pedal without losing motor heading, Ultrex will change the way you fish.

2016 Central Division Championship day 3 finals

Klausen Wins Central Division Event at Truman Lake

Pat Klausen NEPat Klausen was the only angler able to bring a limit of bass to the scales on each of the three days of competition in the Truman Lake Central Divisional. His reward, 35-04 pounds and a berth into the 2017 TBF Federation National Championship.  Pat’s  limits consisted of 13-02, 11-08 and 10-10 pounds.  The Nebraska angler said he caught his fish on jigs in 8-10 feet of water on the first day and then had to fish to swim jigs, as the fish suspended, for the last two days.

Arkansas angler, Doug Thompson finishes in second with 31.10 pounds.  His catches consisted of 10-06, 13-01 and 8-03 pounds.  Doug Thompson AR

Third place went to Evan Barnes from Arkansas with a final weight of 30-11 pounds.  Fourth place was taken by Dean Matts of Oklahoma with 29-05 pounds.  Rounding out the top five places was Kent Priel of Nebraka with 29-04 pounds.  Most of the top five anglers said most of their fish came on topwater baits, shakey heads and big ten inch power worms.

Mississippi angler, Brad Jernigan took Day 3 Big Bass honors with a nice 5-07 lunker.  The state anglers from Arkansas put together a solid Day 3 performance and vaulted to the top of the leader board for the state to state competition.  They edged out the state of Nebraska by just over two pounds to take top honors is the state event.

Pat Klausen NEPat Klausen from Lincoln, Nebraska sits atop the leader board at the Central Divisional at Lake Truman heading into the last day. On Thursday Pat brought one of only eight, five fish limits, to the scales that weighed 11-08 pounds.  That brought his total to 24-10 pounds, which gives him a 1-3 lb lead heading into Friday’s competition.

 

 

Doug Thompson, of Arkansas, claims the second spot, with the second heaviest bag on Thursday with a limit weighing 13-01 pounds.  He stands at 23-07 pounds, just aver a pound behind the overall leader.

Day one leader, Bill Hughan, of Arkansas, lands in third.  His weight of 8-06 brings his total up to 22-15 pounds.  Fourth place belongs to Kent Priel of Nebraska with 9-00 pounds to make his total 22-04 pounds.  The fifth position goes to J. Brandon Carroll for his catch of 8-12 pounds to land him with 20-04 pounds.

Bill Hughan - AR

Arkansas angler, Bill Hughan leads the 96 angler field, at the Central Divisional at Truman Lake, after the first day of competition.  His day one sack of 14-09 pounds gives him just over a one pound cushion, going into Thursday’s competition.  The fish did not cooperate very well on day one and the weight’s  were a little on the small side overall.

 

Second place is Kent Priel from Nebraska with 13-04 pounds.  Chad Dick from Kansas and Pat Klausen from Nebraska are tied for third place with 13-02 pounds.  Pat Huse, also of Nebraska finishes out the top five with a limit weighing 12-09 pounds.

Out of 96 anglers, 81 weighed in at least one fish on Day 1.  There were a total of 15 limits brought to the scales and Robert Hill had the Big Bass on Wednesday with a 4-13 pound lunker. Kent Priel  NE
