TBF Junior World Championship Heads for Hot Springs, Ark.

January 20, 2015 – Ponca City, Oklahoma
The Bass Federation (TBF) and Visit Hot Springs are pleased to announce that the 2015 TBF Junior World Championship will be held in Hot Springs Arkansas August 20th -22nd during the Forrest Wood Cup Championship week.

Young anglers in the 11-15 year old age group who have qualified as their States Champions from all 47 TBF State Federations as well as Canada will be invited to attend this event, with their families for what promises to be an exciting week of competition and clean family fun.

“Hot Springs is extremely pleased to welcome back to our city the 2015 TBF Junior World Championship to be held on Lake Hamilton” Stated Steve Arrison Executive Director of Visit Hot Springs.

“I can think of no greater event than this one, which gets young people started early in the sport of fishing and continues to foster the kids’ enthusiasm for the sport, which is one of the best ways I know to steer them toward productive lives.

TBF announces 2015 No Entry Fee Division Championship Dates and Venues

 

PONCA CITY, Okla. (Dec. 4, 2014) – The Bass Federation (TBF), the largest and oldest organized grassroots fishing, youth and conservation organization in North America with more than 20,000 members, announces the dates, locations and host states of its seven 2015 Division Championship events.

 

All 47 of the affiliated TBF State Federations fall into one of seven geographical divisions: Southwest, Northwest, Central, Southern, Northern, Mid-Atlantic and Eastern. The Eastern Division also includes the providence of Ontario, Canada.

All TBF State Federations fall into one of seven geographic regions. Each region has its own no-entry-fee  divisional championship on an annual basis. (Click to view/download hi-res image)

Each TBF affiliated state federation qualifies a 12-angler team to compete in the no-entry-fee TBF Divisional Tournament Championship events, as scheduled for 2015:

CASEY CASAMENTO WINS NYTBF STATE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ON LAKE CHAMPLAIN

October 21st Calcium NY…. NY The Bass Federation (NYTBF) held their annual State Team Championship October 11th & 12th on Lake Champlain with tournament launch and daily weigh-ins based out of Port Henry NY. The big lake lived up to its name and once again produced nice limits of large and smallmouth bass on both days. During this event the anglers compete for two days with top 12 anglers earning slots on the 2015 NYTBF Eastern Divisional Team.

Day one saw solid weights come to the scales with the top three anglers all in excess of 18 lb. limits and separated by mere ounces. Day two saw the top three anglers shuffle with the Day 1 leader falling to 11th and 3rd place angler landing at 10th place while Casey Casamento brought in another solid 18.65 lbs. for two day total weight of 37.50 lbs. and the tournament victory.

Casamento was unavailable for comment but on day two he shared the boat with second place angler Rick Whitaker from Virginia who weighed in 36.05 lbs. that he anchored with the heaviest limit of the tournament that weighed 21.50 lbs. Whitaker reports they fished in 15-17 ft. along hard bottom areas and main lake shoals with Lucky Craft Pointer jerk baits and Keitech swimbaits in green pumpkin fire.
