Ponca City, Okla. (March 5, 2013) — The Bass Federation is excited to announce the Susquehanna River Dream Team Rally is scheduled for March 30 on the Susquehanna River at Northumberland Point.  The event is hosted by the Washbury Bassmasters #9280 and the Kickin Bass Baits Pro Team #10705.  The Susquehanna River event is open to ALL TBF members and non-TBF members wanting to join. Interested teams can go online at bassfederation.com; Dream Team; to enter, the tourney # is 1041.  ALL interested TBF clubs and state federations can go online and register to host their own event today!  All Dream Team events held before April 30, 2013 will qualify teams to the 2013 Dream Team National Championship. NEW YORK THE BASS FEDERATION ANNOUNCES 2013 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

February 20, Calcium, NY… New York The Bass Federation (NYTBF) announces the 2013 tournament schedule that spans the state offering anglers the opportunity to fish in multiple, one day, eight hour draw tournaments with boaters and co-anglers sharing a boat, but each competing within their respective divisions. For anglers uncertain about fishing a draw tournament with an unknown angler or if you’re new to tournament fishing the NYTBF offers open team events that serve as a great introduction to other anglers that support the trail. Stop the Ban on Soft Baits in Maine!

On January 17, a bill was introduced in the state of Maine that would prohibit the use of all “rubber” lures. The legislation seeks to ban “rubber” baits but does not define the term. Even so, the intent of the legislation is clear – to ban the soft baits that Maine anglers use every day. The bill would even ban biodegradable soft baits currently available. Continue reading
