For the last three years, the Two Rivers Bass Club has been proud to host bass fishing for three special Paris elementary classes. This year on April 23, at a local pond, was the most recent and most successful with 12 club members/wives able to help out.
After a cool morning, the day turned out to be perfect. Almost every student was able to catch at least one bass and several caught six or more. Following a great pizza lunch, all 25 students were surprised with a gift of their own rod and reel from the Two Rivers Bass Club, who believe youth are the future of the sport.
Funds that support this fishing trip, college scholarships, and our junior bass club are from our annual Paul Steele and Johnny Johnson Memorial Open Tournament, which this year will be on June 16 at Paris Landing.
